Georg Basilitz "Adieu" and "Departures" in The Arcades Project Project

"During the 1980s German painter Georg Baselitz was one of a group of international artists who turned away from minimalism’s stark, abstract geometry to begin painting representationally. Like many of his works, his 1982 Adieu features upside-down human figures painted with expressionistic brushwork. It is in the Tate Gallery in London, England" (http://encarta.msn.com/media_461521640_761568672_-1_1/Adieu.html)
